Mission Statement

“FBLA-PBL is the premier student business association. Our mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.”

Purpose

In preparation for an active leadership role, todays classroom instruction is not enough to develop strong, assertive leaders. Through Future Business Leaders of Amercia (FBLA), members learn how to lead and participate in group discussions, preside at meetings and conferences, work effectively within committees and engage in practical problem solving and decision making. Members learn the value of competition on local, district, state and national levels by experiencing the responsibility of success as well as the challenge of defeat.

History

The Roosevelt High School Chapter of FBLA #5068 was founded on October 24, 1970. Since 1970, our chapter has maintained at least 30 active members each year. Even from the beginning, the Roosevelt Chapter of FBLA has played an important part in the business department at Roosevelt High school. The chapter has helped the business department in many ways; anywhere from deciding new classes to sponsoring school contests. The chapter has also been involved in various conferences, contests, and has had many successful fundraisers.
