A new look to a new season

This football season when you go to the game on Friday, Sept. 3, you will notice something new about your Roosevelt football team. They will be wearing new uniforms made by Under Armour.
This will give the Riders a brand new look for a season that should have great potential. All of the football players think that these jerseys look great, and they can’t wait till Friday to put them on.
The football team got new uniforms this year because every sport at the school gets new uniforms every three years or so. Coach Noland Eastin and the Athletic Director Ken Howell were the main people behind getting Under Armour brand uniforms.
The design was mostly done by Under Armour, but the coaches asked for there to be no sleeves. With new uniforms come new numbers, and some senior players have a reason why they picked the number they did.

Dylan Lucero, Center, third year playing, #77: “My older brother had that number when he played.”
Tyler Trobee, MLB, fourth year playing, #30. The reason for his number is Mike Rozier, “A running back from Nebraska who won the Heisman Trophy.”
Sam Hardy, WR/S, fourth year playing, #9 “That’s the age of my little cousin who passed away.”
Orley Aragon, OL, fourth year playing, #70 “My older brother wore that jersey when he played.”
Sean Bernard, OL/DL/LB, fourth year playing, #53, “It’s my lucky number.”

So get ready to see the new-look Riders in a new-look league in their new-look uniforms. If style counts, the Riders will surely be on the winning side of the scoreboard.
