The Girls Are On Fire This Year

The girls are showing some fire out there on the court, starting off with a good (12-3) record and putting us in a solid spot in our league.

It has been a great competitive year in the girls’ league so far. We are in 3rd place right now and are left with some low ranked teams and Windsor who is in the 3rd place spot. This means we have a very good shot at improving our position before the season is over.

Since the girls have shown some skill against some very good teams in our league, it has put us in a good spot to just beat a few teams with a bad record. This does not mean it will be easy, because not every team just gives up and stops playing hard when they are having a bad season, so our girls will have to be at the top of their game to prove they have earned the spot they are in now.

From the looks of it we have not done anything special that sticks out on the stat sheet other than the fundamentally sound basketball they have been playing. Even in our league other teams have had more points, more high scorers and better rebounders, but we have played as a team for most of way.

Our girls have done a fantastic job of showing it isn't all about individual stats but it's about team stats that get you wins that lead to a solid 3rd place in the league.
