The Riders take some time off Before the regional tournament. The regional tournament will be in Eagle Colorado February 11th. Every kid on the team must walk out of the regional tournament with 4th place to be able to go to state the next week.
The Roosevelt Riders walk out of this tournament with a seventh place finish as a team in Garden City, Kansas . The Riders had six people that placed at this tournament. Dustin Hayden took 6th place, Jace Lopez took 2nd place, Mason Marick took 5th place, Spencer Urban took 6th place, Juan Sanchez took 5th place, Alex Davis took 6th place.

Tournaments
The RHS wrestling team went to Utah last weekend where the team was able to get 3rd. Steve Frank, Juan Sanchez, Mason Marick, Adam Cary all fought hard to end up with 2nd place finishes. Dustin Hayden ended up with 3rd, Alex Davis and Spencer Urban ened up with 4th. Jace Lopez ended his day with 6th.
The Roosevelt Wrestling team took first place at the Rocky Ford tournament. In their first dual they beat DHPH, then beat pueblo Central, then Rocky Ford in the semi-finals, and in thefFinals Roosevelt beat the number 1 team in 3A Alamosa in a close battle 36-30.
The Roosevelt Wrestling team took 3rd at the Roosevelt Invite as a team. They fell behind Thompson Valley and Discovery Cannon. Jace Lopez was the Riders' only champion. Dustin Hayden took 2nd, Dakota Swafford took 3rd, Adam Cary took 3rd, Mason Marick took 3rd, Juan Sanchez took 3rd, Dylan Golden took 2nd, Steve Frank took 3rd, Alex Davis took 3rd.
The Roughrider wrestling team once again returned from the Western Slope with a victory in the Warrior Classic. The tournament victory maked the Riders' sixth consecutive title in the highly-competitive event. Roosevelt's lone champion was junior Jace Lopez. Steve Frank also wrestled inthe finals, claiming runner-up honors. Juan Sanchez and Spencer Urban were third; Alex Davis was fourth; Mason Marick and Adam Cary finished fifth
